Overview

Overview

Some clients allow their inventory quantities to fall below zero (For example, to drive a restock flag in a customer site warehouse). This alert will notify you of any warehouse/bin where the quantity is less than zero. If you have any warehouses that you run negative on for a reason, and want them to be excluded from this alert, enter the list of those warehouses in variable W, separated by commas. Leaving variable W blank indicates you want the alert to check all warehouses for any negative quantity.

Run Schedule:  Daily in the morning

Type of Output: Email

Alert Functionality

Alert Functionality

1. In order for warehouses or bins to have a negative quantity, the settings in Options - Inventory must be set to either:

  • Do not warn before allowing inventory to go negative
  • Warn before allowing inventory to go negative

**If this setting is set to 'Do not allow inventory to go negative', there will be nothing for this alert to trigger on since the inventory is not allowed to go negative.

2. If there is a warehouse that you keep negative inventory in and you do not want this alert to trigger for, list the warehouse number in Variable W.
