Overview

This is designed to keep sales reps updated on the status of their equipment order installs. The alert will fire to advise a Rep that a new install has had a specific Equipment assigned. It will fire again when it has been scheduled. Install calls are defined as being of Type Category 'IR.' A separate task will provide a daily roll-up showing a rep all scheduled installs pending.

Use ID903 if you need an additional cloned / second version of this process

Alert Functionality

Alert Functionality

1. Alerts ONLY considers service calls set with a call type code of Install / Pickup:

2. The call must be in one of the following statuses:

 - Dispatched

 - Pending

 - Scheduled

 - On Hold

If the call is scheduled, the email to the rep will contain the scheduled time:

3. A service call can not be linked directly to a sales rep; this alert utilizes the job functionality to link the sales rep to each install service call. When the alert is set to send to the sales rep or sales rep manager, the email address that the alert uses is found via the job assigned to the service call. 

Jobs are accessed via Tools / Jobs:

Create a new Job, link to Customer, add contacts, and any transactions linked to the Job will show on the Transactions tab:

You'll add the sales rep as a contact on the job:

Then link the job to the install service call:

The sales rep that is listed as the contact on the job will get the emailed alert when the To Sales Rep option is checked on the subscription. The manager of the sales rep, as set on the employee record in e-automate, will receive the emailed alert when the To Sales Rep Manager option is checked on the alert.
