Alert Functionality
Alert Functionality
1. Alert checks for items on sales orders that are backordered (2), but not linked to a Purchase Order (1):
In the example above, item 0603C046AA has a quantity of 2, and there is only 1 on hand, so there is a back-ordered quantity of 1. The item that is backordered is linked to a purchase order and therefore will not report on this item. The two other items on the order are backordered, but not linked to a purchase order, and will therefore trigger the alert.
2. Alert will only notify once for any qualifying item(s), but will trigger on an order again if the order is still on backorder and not attached to a PO after 90 days.
3. Logic considers items at the Bin Level, not just the Warehouse Level.
4. Takes into account if a portion of the quantity of an item is in stock and a portion on backorder, and will only report on what is on backorder.
5. Only reports on orders from the previous day, not all orders that are unlinked at the time the alert runs.
