This alert notifies you anytime is required to have 1 or more of an item in their car stock warehouse but their quantity on hand is zero.

Overview

This alert reviews each of your field technician car stock warehouse to determine if there are any items required to have one or more quantity but have a quantity of zero in each particular warehouse. This alert requires that a custom property be present on the technician's employee record to indicate Yes or No if the technician is a field technician or not.

Variable W: enter ZCJFieldTech to list the name of the custom property on the technician's employee record that indicates if they are a field technician or not

Alert Functionality

Alert Functionality

1. Alert identifies a field technician by looking at the technician employee records custom property. If the customer property ZCJFieldTech is marked as "Yes" then it is a field tech.

2. On the field technician's employee record on the Positions tab, the alert looks at the warehouse assigned to the tech.

3. Next, the alert reviews what items in e-automate are linked with this warehouse and what the minimum quantity versus on hand quantity is for each item for this warehouse. In the example below, item number J9836AS-RF is linked to Warehouse #100 and has a stock minimum of 1 but has an On Hand quantity of 0.

4. The alert will notify you of it's findings for each technician's warehouse where minimum stock level of item(s) is 1 or more but they have zero on hand.

Custom Property Set Up

Custom Property Set Up

Follow the steps below to set up the custom property to be available on your contracts.

1) In e-Automate click tools from the top tool bar and then select list & codes

2) from the list or code type dropdown options select attributes

3) select the new button on the upper-right side

4) create the new attribute by completing the fields below and clicking OK

attribute name = ZCJFieldTech

description = Is Field Technician

data type = yes/no

5) from the list or code type dropdown options select configurations (custom properties)

6) from the configurations list double click on the contract configuration

7) from the available attributes dropdown select the attribute you created, check mark the default value box and select if you want new records to be defaulted to Yes or No automatically. Next click quickadd to add it to the selected attributes list. Then click OK to save the configuration.

8) you will now see this custom property in your contract custom properties and you can enter your review dates into this field
